Make a photo between 20 KB and 50 KB

Make a photo that is at least 20 KB and no more than 50 KB, for forms with both a minimum and a maximum size. Free, private, no upload, no sign-up.

Before you start

Some forms reject files that are too small as well as too big, for example "JPG, 20 KB to 50 KB". Shrinking alone does not help a photo that is too small: it needs to be made bigger.

This page opens the photo tool with a 50 KB maximum and a 20 KB minimum already filled in. If the picture comes out smaller than 20 KB, SafeResize adds a hidden note to the file to reach the minimum. The picture itself does not change.

Tips

Open "More options" to see the 20 KB minimum that is already filled in. You can change it there if your form says something different.

What does "20 KB to 50 KB" mean?

The file must be at least 20 KB and no more than 50 KB. A 15 KB file is too small and a 60 KB file is too big.

How can a file get bigger without changing the picture?

A JPG file can carry extra data that the picture does not use. SafeResize adds a small amount of it to reach the minimum, so the picture looks exactly the same.

Does it matter if a site counts 1 KB as 1,000 or 1,024 bytes?

The file is made to sit inside your range under both counts: over the minimum by the larger count and under the maximum by the smaller one.
