Turn a photo of your signature into a clean white JPG between 10 KB and 20 KB, a range many online forms ask for. Add pixels if needed. Free, no upload.
Many online forms want the signature as a JPG of at least 10 KB and at most 20 KB. A clean signature can miss that range either way: saved large it can be well over 20 KB, and saved at a small pixel size it can be only a few KB.
This page opens Clean up a signature with a white background and the 10 KB to 20 KB range already filled in. Add a photo of your signature on paper, check the lines, and press "Save my signature". The file is made to land inside the range.
We tried it with the sample signature on this page, in Chrome on a computer. Saved as a white JPG at its own size, 917 × 364 pixels, it was about 27.5 KB: too big. With the 10 KB to 20 KB range filled in, the JPG quality was lowered and the file came out at about 19.3 KB.
Saved at 140 × 60 pixels instead, the same signature was only about 2.8 KB: too small. With the range filled in, it was topped up with the hidden note to about 10.1 KB, and the picture stayed the same.
Your own signature will give other numbers. It may already be inside the range, or it will go one of these two ways. The result page shows the size and says when the file was topped up.
The file must be at least 10 KB and at most 20 KB. SafeResize makes it at least 10,240 bytes and under 20,000 bytes, so it is inside the range whether a website counts 1,000 or 1,024 bytes to a KB.
If the clean signature is under 10 KB, SafeResize adds a hidden note to the file until it reaches the minimum. The note is a standard part of the JPG format that the picture does not use, so the signature looks exactly the same.
Yes. On the result page, "Use it to sign a PDF" takes a see-through copy of your signature straight to Sign a PDF. It looks better on a document than the white one.
