Your photo is taken at your in-person biometric appointment, and you do not upload a photo online. Only children under 6 bring a lab-printed photo with a grey background: 3R (3.5 × 5 inch) at most embassies, or one 4R (4 × 6 inch) at the High Commission in Ottawa.
