What the official pages say about the Egypt Passport photo

Egypt's Foreign Ministry lists four recent personal photos, 4 × 6 cm with a white background, among the papers for a first passport and for a renewal through its consular services. For a child's first passport, the father or mother must come in person, with the computerised birth certificate, both parents' passports and their marriage record. Other missions write their own lists, so the number of photos changes with the office.

The consulate in London asks you to come in person with your original Egyptian passport and to apply with your National ID (Rakam Kawmi) or biometric birth certificate, bringing three recent photos on white and a valid residence permit. A new passport applied for with a valid National ID lasts 7 years, but only 1 year with a birth certificate or an expired ID, unless the child is under 16. The embassy in Washington wants three 2 × 2 inch photos on white and also renews passports by mail.
